In 2026, the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès will host two international competitions:
- The 28th edition of the Mondial des Vins Blancs
- The 1st edition of the European Red & Rosé Wine Contest
These two competitions will take place on 14 and 15 March 2026 and will bring together 60 expert judges from 20 countries and 5 continents, including oenologists, exceptional sommeliers, wine merchants, sensory analysis experts, journalists, specialist bloggers and VIPs from the world of wine.
A world first! In 2026, the Francs de Pied will be in the spotlight
An ungrafted vine is one of the last remaining examples of Vitis vinifera, a vine grown on its original roots, not grafted onto an American rootstock (as has been the norm since the phylloxera crisis in the 19th century). These rare, particularly vulnerable vines produce unique and authentic wines, as they directly convey the characteristics of the grape variety and terroir.
‘Les Francs de Pied’, a symbol of bold and courageous viticulture, are honoured in this forward-looking competition!
